Read the exclusions
Check the dates, eligible products, seller and any minimum spend. Some codes apply only to a first order or cannot be combined with another promotion. A copied code may be expired even when a page still displays it. Treat the discount as unconfirmed until the retailer checkout shows it against your intended purchase.
Compare the final basket
Note the price before and after the code, including delivery. Adding an unwanted item to meet a threshold can cost more than the discount saves. Check whether sale items are excluded and whether the promotion changes return arrangements. For a subscription offer, read the later price and renewal conditions before treating the first payment as the total cost.
Keep a useful record
Save the order confirmation and relevant promotion terms. If the code fails, check spelling, account eligibility and product exclusions before contacting the retailer.
